Orfizme — Fine Art

Orfizme runs in rings and arcs over a bright ground. Sonia Delaunay built the forms from curved bands that cross and overlap. The colours sit in shifting blocks, with the eye moving from one curve to the next.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. The matte surface keeps the brighter tones from shining under a lamp, so the arcs read flat and clear on the wall. A light frame on a dark wall lets the curves stay in view.

On a stairwell wall beside a wooden handrail, the rings read from the landing, and from the bottom step you see the dark gaps between the bands.
