Oval Axis Cerise Turquoise Ochre 1970 by Bridget Riley shows bands of colour set in an oval shape. The cerise and turquoise stripes step through ochre tones while the eye follows the curved path. The marks stay flat and even, with no brushwork showing through.

This fine art print is ready to hang with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. The paper is matte, so the bright cerise and turquoise tones do not shine back under a lamp.

On the landing wall above the stair rail the curved bands line up with the slope of the stairs. From the bottom step the cerise edge catches the light first, then the turquoise climbs past the ochre.
