Painting 847 — Fine Art

Painting 847 by Luis Feito rests on a ground of plain paint with broad shapes placed side by side. The marks sit flat on the sheet and leave open spaces between them. Luis Feito worked in the postwar Spanish abstract movement, building paintings from fields of colour and gesture rather than figures.

The object is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. It arrives assembled when the ready to hang option is used. The smooth face holds the painted shapes without glare, so the open gaps stay clear from a standing position.

It fits a study wall beside a desk where the paper sits at shoulder height. From the chair you read the broad blocks first, then the thin edges where one colour meets the next.
