About this work

Paysage 1898

Paysage 1898 shows a stretch of land with a few trees set against an open sky. Henri Matisse painted simple outdoor scenes like this with clear shapes and a limited range of colours.

The image reads as a calm view rather than a busy one. A fine art print keeps those quiet tones steady on the page.

The matte surface does not throw a bright glare back at you. A light frame sits on a dark wall in the hall, and the view comes into view at shoulder height. From the landing you notice the soft sky first, then the small tree shapes lower down.

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.
Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
