About this work
Pepper and Lemon on a White Tablecloth 1901 is a still life with food on a folded cloth. Red and yellow sit near a white field.
The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. Odilon Redon drew the shapes with loose lines and faint colour patches. The work belongs to the symbolist painting period. The paper is matte and the light tones stay flat under a lamp.
It arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger on the back that fits a nail or screw. You can fit it on a wall without a separate frame. A dining room wall above the sideboard lets you see the white cloth and the small fruit forms from the doorway.
