Pirelli — Fine Art

Pirelli, Suola Coria - 1953 shows a set of printed marks in a row against a plain ground. The shapes sit close together and the picture reads as a measured abstract drawing. Bruno Munari often used simple forms and clear colour steps in his work.

The fine art frame has a white finish. That white edge keeps the black marks separate from the room and gives the image a hard line on the wall.

From the kitchen table you see the row of shapes first, then the white frame around them. The marks stay readable while you eat and look up at the picture.
