Powder with Puff

Powder with Puff - 1966 shows soft shapes drawn in a pastel range. The marks sit in a loose band across the sheet, with some edges softer than others. A few strokes press harder and leave a denser colour where the brush slows down.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy. The matte paper keeps the softest tones from shining under a lamp, so the powder colours stay quiet.

It fits on a bedroom wall near the bed, where morning light falls across the shapes and the softer marks read first. From the doorway the band of colour stays simple and the denser strokes hold the eye.
