Quattro Colori 2007 — Fine Art

Quattro Colori 2007 sets four separate colour bands across the sheet. Each band keeps its own tone, with one shade sitting openly beside the next.

The blocks do not blend into each other. Gerhard Richter built them as a colour study in paint, worked flat on the surface with broad tools. This fine art print sits inside a frame with a back panel.

The matte face holds the four flat tones without a shine under a lamp. The frame keeps the edges tidy against the colours. A hallway wall picture works well here, seen from the landing as you pass the bend, where the four bands read as separate colour steps.
