Rainbow over the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone

Rainbow over the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone shows a bright arc of light set against deep rock walls and a wide river below. Thomas Moran painted this American landscape view with careful layers of colour and light to catch the moment when sun and water meet.

This fine art piece arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. You do not need to buy a separate frame.

It works on the wall in a reading corner by the bookcase. From the chair you notice the broad bands of rock and the pale sky, and when you turn the page you still see the curve of the rainbow across the canyon.
