Red and Pink Rocks — Fine Art

Red and Pink Rocks by Georgia OKeeffe uses soft pink and warm red bands against a muted ground. The painted forms read as simplified earth, with broad colour planes meeting without sharp borders. The surface stays even, and the tones sit close together across the field.

This fine art print keeps the tones close, so the pink and red bands read as one quiet group on the paper.

A plain wall above a low shelf keeps the bands at eye level in late light. From there you see the pink and red forms spread evenly, and the pale ground settles behind them without drawing the eye away.
