Red Yellow Blue III shows three clear colour fields laid out in sequence on a plain ground. The red band, the yellow band and the blue band sit side by side, each one a flat shape with a clean edge. From across the room the three colours read as simple blocks.

This is a fine art print set in a frame, with a back panel. The frame gives the three colour fields a solid border, and the back panel holds everything flat.
