Regatta — Fine Art

Regatta by Henri-Edmond Cross shows boats on calm water. The picture uses small separate colour touches that sit on a flat ground. Across the room the boat shapes stay clear and the water reads as one wide band.

The fine art frame comes in white, wood, dark wood or black. The white frame gives the picture a clean edge against the painted water. The dark wood frame sets a firmer line around the small colour patches so the touches do not spread past the picture.

On a kitchen wall near the sink the water band reads first and the boats sit lower on the picture. From the dining table you notice the separate colour touches in the hull of one boat. The frame edge keeps the image clear on the wall.
