About this work
River In The Forest by Isaac Levitan (1886)
A river winds through a dense forest, its waters reflecting the sky. This is the heart of Isaac Levitan's River In The Forest, a masterpiece that captures nature's quiet beauty. The painting invites you to step into its world, where the river's gentle flow and the forest's lush greenery create a sense of calm.
The artwork is a symphony of soft greens and blues, with hints of ochre and brown peeking through the foliage. The trees, painted with delicate strokes, stand tall and proud, their leaves whispering stories of the forest. The river, a ribbon of blue, meanders through the scene, its surface dotted with reflections of the sky above.
This poster brings the tranquility of the forest into your living room or study, offering a window to nature's serene beauty.
