Rose Peony and Cornflowers in a Green Vase — Fine Art

Rose Peony and Cornflowers in a Green Vase shows blooms held by a green vessel with two side handles. Petals and leaves sit in loose patches of colour against a plain field. The grouping reads as a symbolist flower painting. Odilon Redon drew this kind of still life using pastel and charcoal.

The fine art print sits inside a frame with a clean edge. Choose white, wood, dark wood or black to set the line off. On this image the dark wood finish gives the green vase a quiet border. The same finish keeps the pale petals from fading into the wall.

On a dining room wall near a lamp the green vase catches the warm glow. The small petal patches stay clear from the doorway. You notice the two handles first, then the loose petals behind them.
