Roses in a Vase — Fine Art

Roses in a Vase holds a bunch of roses in a simple vase. Childe Hassam paints the petals with quick soft strokes. Red and pink tones mix with green leaves in a loose way. The flowers sit against a plain dark backing that makes the petals stand out.

The picture comes as a fine art print in a white frame, a wood frame, a dark wood frame or a black frame. A white frame gives the edges a clean line that does not pull the eye away from the flowers. A black frame keeps the focus tight on the painted petals.

It fits a dining room wall above a table. From the chair you see the red petals and the dark leaves first, then the frame edge. The room stays calm behind the flowers.
