Selvatro — Fine Art

Maruja Mallo built her paintings with layered colour and loose strokes that float over the page. In Selvatro - 1979 a mix of hard and soft shapes sits on a plain field. The work follows her known practice of mixed materials and free drawing.

This comes as a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The print keeps the soft edges and the small marks clear. You get the picture ready to hang on the wall.

It fits a kitchen wall where the morning light falls across the shapes. You notice the pale patches first, then the darker strokes as you pass by.
