Seminar by Dieter Roth (1971)

The chair’s wooden slats are rendered in dry, hatched lines, while the board behind it swarms with numbers, arrows, and half-erased Latin phrases. A single spotlight casts a sharp shadow, turning the scene into a stage set for an absent lecture. The palette is confined to graphite, chalk white, and the faintest wash of ochre. Hang it above a desk or in a hallway where light glances off the paper—it rewards the glance with quiet mischief.
