About this work

Sengela Malta

Sengela Malta by MC Escher uses dark lines set against a pale sheet. The drawing follows the coastline with short strokes that bend at the shore. You see the water meeting the land through steady pen work.

A fine art print brings out the thin pen lines without a bright sheen. The matte finish keeps the pale ground soft and the dark lines clear under indoor light. A light frame sits well on a darker wall.

It hangs in a hallway above the step. From the landing you read the shore line first, and from the door you notice the small turns of the pen.

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.
Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
