Series VII No 7D 1920

Series VII No 7D 1920 shows a group of tall narrow forms arranged near the top. Their edges curve and meet in soft bands of pale blue and grey. A few darker lines cross the lower part and stop before the edge.

The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. The picture stays quiet from a distance and opens into small marks when you step closer. Hilma af Klint worked in an abstract style that uses colour and line to hold a calm mood across the whole surface.

No separate frame is needed. The matte paper keeps the pale blue and grey tones soft and stops a shine from a lamp. It works above a plain shelf in a hallway where the light falls from one side.
