About this work

Sketch

The title Sketch points to a drawing like study on a wide open field. Sam Francis often leaves large white spaces and lets thin colour washes move across them.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. You see broad strokes and small gestures working together. The paper takes the ink without adding shine, so the lighter areas stay flat and the darker lines stay clear.

A white frame gives the picture a clean border that sits neatly against the open background. On a bedroom wall near the bed, the white space stays bright in morning light and the small marks show when you stand by the side.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.
Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
