Sleep — Fine Art

Sleep by Tarsila do Amaral rests on the wall beside a wooden desk.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. The painted forms sit close together, with soft blue and cream tones filling the picture area. Her work connects to Brazilian modernism, a period built on clear shapes and plain colour blocks.

The framed print uses a matte paper surface so the painted layers stay even and the surface does not catch the lamp at an angle. A dark wood frame sits on a pale wall in the study, and from the door you see the broad painted shapes before the small brush marks.
