Sonora Do — Fine Art

Sonora Do - 1973 draws on the op art movement that Victor Vasarely helped shape in the nineteen sixties and seventies.

The work builds optical colour shifts from repeated bars and dots that pull the eye across the field. A light frame on a dark wall keeps the bars readable at a normal viewing height.

The fine art print sits behind glass with a smooth face so the colour steps stay clear under room light. It hangs on the hall wall beside the staircase where the passing figure catches the shifting bars first.
