Space Modulator L3 — Fine Art

Space Modulator L3 by Laszlo Moholy-Nagy places a set of overlapping planes and arcs across the sheet. Thin black lines cross lighter patches of colour and white. The shapes look cut from flat material and then stacked. The image stays spare and geometric throughout.

A fine art print keeps the flat colour areas clean and the thin line work sharp. The matte surface stops glare from the lamp so the pale shapes stay even. You can see the printed edges clearly when you stand close.

On a hallway wall near the stairs the light hits the surface at a low angle. The darker lines read first from a distance and the lighter patches come into view as you pass by. The shape of the layered planes fills the space without crowding it.
