Squash Blossoms I — Fine Art

Squash Blossoms I shows a pale flower against a plain ground, drawn in the careful close up style Georgia OKeeffe is known for. The petals curve around a central form and the surface stays quiet.

The fine art print is made on a matte sheet, so the soft colour does not shine back under a lamp. A light frame looks right on a dark wall, and a dark frame works on a pale one. A wood frame sits well beside wooden furniture.

It fits on a kitchen wall near the sink, where the morning light comes in low. From the table you see the broad petal shape plainly, and from the doorway you notice the centre folds. The white ground stays open and the plant form reads calmly.
