Still Life on Red

Still Life on Red - 1976 shows a group of simple objects resting on a red ground. Mary Fedden built the picture with flat colour shapes and a few soft edges. The arrangement sits calmly in the lower part of the sheet.

A metal hanger sits on the back and goes straight onto a nail or screw. This fine art print is ready to hang with no separate frame to buy. The matte paper keeps the red field even and soft under indoor light.

In a kitchen over a small stove the red ground reads well from the doorway. From the table you notice the flat shapes and the quiet balance of the objects.
