Stratificazione I — Fine Art

Stratificazione I - Art Informel shows layers of paint laid one over another on the sheet. The brush moves in short sweeps, pressing harder in some spots and lifting in others. Bice Lazzari leaves the layers visible instead of smoothing them out.

The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. The print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy. The matte paper keeps the build up of colour quiet under the room light.

On a bedroom wall near the bed, the layered marks read as separate bands from the doorway. Closer up the brush pressure shows in the thicker edges. The lighter parts sit flat against the wall.
