Sun — Fine Art

Sun by Piet Mondrian shows a bright central shape set against a plain ground. The colours stay flat and the lines stay straight.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. It belongs to the De Stijl period, when the artist worked with simple colour blocks and right angles. The print sits on a wall near the ceiling, so the top edge catches the room light.

A light frame keeps the bright area clear from below. You see the flat colour first, then the dark outline that holds it in place. It fits a bathroom wall above the towel rail, where the shapes stay clear on the white tiles and you notice the bright block each morning.
