Sunrise, Autumn — Fine Art

The title Sunrise, Autumn points to a morning scene painted in loose colour. Childe Hassam worked in bright paints and built shapes with quick strokes, a practice tied to American impressionist painting. The image turns warm tones against open sky.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy. The paper holds the warm tones without a shine, so the loose strokes read clearly.

It works on a long wall in a dining room, where the morning colours spread across the surface. From the table you see the broad painted strokes, and the light changes across the leaves as the day moves on.
