Sunset in Corsica 1898

Sunset in Corsica 1898 turns toward the open sea at the end of the day. Warm tones meet a darker horizon, with broad colour areas laid down in a modernist way. Henri Matisse kept the shapes simple and let the sky carry the mood.

The fine art print sits on a wall without a shine under the lamp. A light frame suits a dark wall, or a dark frame sits against a pale one. The matte surface keeps the warm tones soft where you stand close.

Above a desk near a window the sky tones seem to shift when the light changes. You notice the horizon line from across the room. From beside the desk the paint handling stays clear.

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
