Tau 1974

Tau 1974 by Lenore Tawney carries the open thinning look of her work with linen and thread.

The title points to a long narrow mark cut into a soft field. The image reads as a quiet study in spacing and weight.

The fine art frame offers a clean edge on the wall and the white finish keeps the outer line simple against the open ground. You notice the thin band most when you stand near a kitchen door and look across to the wall above the stove.

As a guide: 40×50 cm suits a desk or small wall, 50×70 cm sits well above a sofa or bed, and 70×100 cm anchors a room as a focal piece. If you'd like advice for your space, send us your dimensions and we'll recommend a size.

For your country, this piece is estimated at 5 to 8 business days from the moment you order, including production, with free tracked delivery. Every piece is made to order by the print partner closest to you; framed pieces take a little longer because each one is framed and checked before dispatch. These are estimates, and there is no express option. Full country-by-country ranges are on our estimated delivery times page, and you can see exactly how your piece is packed.

If your piece arrives damaged, defective, or isn't what you ordered, email us within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number, and keep all packaging. We will send a free replacement at no cost to you. See our refund policy for the full process.
