Tenth Stone 1968

Tenth Stone 1968 shows a dark round shape set into a lighter ground. A few rough lines cross the outer part and the centre feels pressed in.

Lee Bontecou often worked from cut and assembled forms in her sculptural practice. The fine art print sits in a frame with a back panel and arrives assembled when you choose ready to hang.

The matte paper holds the soft greys without shine under a lamp. On a kitchen wall near the sink the round shape reads first, and the small lines gather when you stand closer.
