The Artists House, View from the Rose Garden — Fine Art

The Artists House, View from the Rose Garden opens with a house seen through flower beds, painted in the way Claude Monet built light with short strokes. The picture reads clearly across a room and the brushwork comes forward when you stand near it.

The fine art print sits on a wall where the frame finish can follow the room, a light frame on a dark wall or a dark frame on a pale wall. The matte surface keeps the greens and pinks from shining under a lamp.

It works above a dining table against a side wall where the evening light comes in low. From the doorway you see the flower shapes, and near the table the small strokes of the garden fade into colour.
