The Big N — Fine Art

The Big N by Al Held uses hard edges and large blocks of colour that meet at sharp lines. A strong shape sits near the center and leaves plenty of open field around it. The eye lands on the dark part first, then moves across the flat colour.

This is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The matte surface keeps the bright colour fields from shining under a lamp. It arrives assembled when you choose the ready to hang option. The frame gives the hard edges a clean border that matches the painting.

It fits above a desk in a home office. From the chair you see the solid blocks first, and later the thin gap between them. The wall there gets daylight in the morning and the flat colour stays steady.
