About this work
The Birth of Liquid Fears by Salvador Dali shows a soft ground with lines that thin and thicken as the hand moves across it. The stroke pressure changes along each curve, so the dark edges vary in width. No sharp outline holds the forms together.
This fine art print arrives ready to hang. A metal hanger is fitted to the back, and it goes straight onto a nail or screw. You do not need to buy a separate frame. The matte paper keeps the thin lines from shining under a lamp.
In a narrow hallway above the coat rail, the eye catches the uneven stroke widths first. From the front door the big curves read as one mass, and near the bench you notice the lighter parts of the ground.
