The Cliff — Fine Art

The Cliff - Abstract Expressionism by Kenzo Okada shows broad painted areas where soft forms press into one another. The surface carries layered patches of muted tones.

From a doorway you read the big shapes, and up close the small hand marks come through. The print is a fine art piece made on matte paper, so the paint tones stay soft without shine.

A light frame on a dark wall lets the softer tones hold their own. It hangs on the stairwell wall at shoulder height, where the step shadows fall across the print. You notice the painted layers first when you pass by.
