The Cloud

The Cloud - 1986 shows a pale field with loose grey shapes near the middle. The marks drift over the sheet and leave parts of the ground open. Victor Pasmore drew in this way, building a picture from open space and a few lines. The grey stays quiet against the lighter paper.

This fine art print comes with a metal hanger fitted to the back. You put it straight on a nail or screw. No frame is needed. The matte paper keeps the grey tones even, so the drawing reads the same way it does in the image.

It suits a bedroom wall above the bed. From the bed you see the pale field and the loose grey shapes. The metal hanger holds it level without a frame. The drawing stays calm in that spot.
