About this work

The Flash 1959

The Flash 1959 shows a plain painted field with a thin band of warm ground meeting a cool upper tone. The colours sit apart and do not blend.

This fine art print keeps that quiet split between the two tones. A dark wood frame edge sets the picture against the wall and holds the painted line in place.

It reads well in a dining room where the light comes from a side window. The warm ground and cool blue stay separate on the wall.
