The Moon — Fine Art

The Moon by Tarsila do Amaral uses the broad painted shapes and clear outlines she is known for in Brazilian modernism. A moon form sits on a flat background, placed with simple balance in the picture.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy. The surface is matte, so the painted shapes stay flat and the background does not shine under a lamp.

In the study, the moon holds the same spot on the wall each morning when you sit at the desk. The flat background lets the painted shape stay clear from the chair, and the small room feels steady with one plain picture up.
