The Planet 1933

The Planet 1933 by Alexander Calder holds a painted sun shape set on a plain sheet. The dark curve reads like a circle cut from sheet metal and laid flat.

Calder often worked from wire and painted forms in this period. The art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw.

No separate frame to buy. You can put the fine art print on a bedroom wall near a low lamp. From the bed you notice the solid circle first, then the soft painted band around it.
