About this work
The Poet
A woman sits at a desk, pen poised over paper. This is *The Poet*, a celebration of creativity and intellect by Miriam Schapiro. The scene is both intimate and grand, a personal moment rendered with public significance.
The figure is surrounded by a riot of patterns, floral and geometric, in blues, reds, and golds. Fabric swatches and painted motifs collide, creating a visual symphony. The patterns don't just fill the background; they interact with the figure, as if thoughts and ideas are manifesting around her.
This poster brings energy to a study, library, or creative workspace. It invites contemplation and conversation.
