The pond of the Jas de Bouffan — Fine Art

A water channel runs through the garden at the Jas de Bouffan. Paul Cézanne paints the pond with separate brush strokes that keep the surface calm. The water holds green and blue tones against the dark trees and earth on the banks.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang. A metal hanger on the back lets it go straight onto a nail or screw. The matte paper keeps the soft water tones from shining under a lamp, so the painted marks stay readable when you stand near it.

It fits a study wall beside a desk. From the desk you notice the broad water shape across the room. Closer up you see the short strokes on the banks and the small shifts in the green tones.
