The Red Onions 1906

Two onion bulbs sit on a surface with their papery skins in red tones. A soft ground holds the round forms and a few quick lines suggest the roots below. The Red Onions 1906 keeps the subject plain, with colour patches laid over an open field.

The fine art sheet is printed on matte paper, so the reds stay muted and there is no shine under a lamp. The light frame can follow the room, a dark frame on a pale wall or a wood frame beside wooden furniture.

It sits on a kitchen wall near the table. From the doorway the round forms read first, and when you pass by the small drawn lines catch the eye.

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
