The Table in Front of the Picture 1926 shows a tabletop with objects arranged in blocked colour sections. Light and dark planes sit side by side across the surface. You see the scene first as a set of shapes, then the drawn edges when you stand nearer.

A fine art print on matte paper holds the grey tones without shine under ceiling light. A dark frame on a pale wall lets the outlined edges stay clear and keeps the colours separate.
