This Ichnolite of Mine

The title This Ichnolite of Mine points to a mineral shard painted with careful, slow lines. Ivan Albright often worked from small objects and built the image with dense marks and muted tones.

The piece arrives as a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The matte surface keeps the soft greys and grays from shining under a lamp, which matters for an image built from gradual shifts in tone. When the ready to hang option is used, it comes assembled and can go straight onto the wall.

Hang it on the narrow wall beside the kitchen sink. From the table you notice the hard edge of the frame and the quiet mineral shape in the middle. The eye settles on the small changes in the surface before it drifts back to the room.
