About this work
The print titled To Marthas Memory - 1970 shows a plain painted field with a few dark lines crossing the sheet. The marks seem to move in one direction, leaving space on the right side. Jiro Yoshihara often used simple colour and direct brushwork in his abstract work.
This fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy. The metal hanger holds the sheet flat against the wall without extra hardware.
In a dining room, the plain field stays calm under the ceiling light. From the table you notice the dark lines pulling the eye toward the open side. The sheet keeps its quiet shape beside a wooden chair.
