About this work
Torte In Der Sonne (fancy-cake In The Sun) by Dieter Roth (1970)
A cake sits in the sun, melting under the heat. This is Torte In Der Sonne, a whimsical piece by Dieter Roth that captures the fleeting nature of life's sweet moments.
The artwork presents a vivid tableau of a cake, its layers and details rendered with a sense of humor and pathos. The colors are warm and inviting, with hues of yellow, brown, and white dominating the scene. The cake, slightly askew, seems to be in the process of melting, adding a dynamic element to the composition.
This poster brings a touch of playful sophistication to any kitchen or dining area.
