Two Country Houses 1918 sets two simple buildings side by side on a green and blue plane. A few straight strokes and small colour blocks hold the forms in place.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. Paul Klee works with such quiet signs in this period of his practice. The paper is matte, so the thin marks keep a soft look under a lamp.

A metal hanger on the back lets it go straight onto a nail or screw, with no separate frame to buy. It fits a kitchen wall above the counter. You notice the plain ground and the small roof shapes while washing up.
