Untitled 040

Untitled 040 opens on a pale field with broad colour washes spread in open areas. The paint sits in loose bands that leave some of the paper showing through.

Sam Francis built this kind of open layering across his career. The fine art print arrives with a metal hanger fitted to the back, so it goes straight onto a nail or screw.

No separate frame needs buying. The matte surface keeps the soft greys from shining under a lamp. It works on a dining room wall near the serving hatch, where the big washes read from the table and the thin edges show when you stand by the door.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
