Untitled 1 shows a single dark mark on a pale sheet. The line runs from one side to the other without stopping. Louise Bourgeois made many prints that use this kind of simple gesture. The shape feels open, with empty space around it. You see the surface of the paper in the lighter parts.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang. A metal hanger is fitted to the back and goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame is needed. The matte sheet keeps the grey tones even and there is no shine under a lamp.

It works in a study corner above a desk. From the desk chair you notice the single line and the quiet field behind it. The print does not fill the wall, so the room stays open.
