The fine art print keeps the washes clear on a matte paper, so the soft grey tones do not shine under a lamp. A light frame sits beside a dark wall and the paint lines do not blend into the background.

In a hallway with one low window, the pale bands catch daylight at a slant. From the landing you notice the lighter wash first, then the darker edge behind it. The frame stays quiet beside the wood skirting. The picture reads as a strip of open colour against the wall.
